Privacy Policy
Effective August 24, 2026
Last updated August 24, 2026
1Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Archith Raman, a New Jersey sole proprietor operating the LaunchLayer service (“LaunchLayer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, retains, and discloses information in connection with:
- 1.the website located at https://launchlayer.org and any page that links to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Site”);
- 2.inquiries, forms, emails, and other communications submitted through or concerning the Site; and
- 3.preliminary communications concerning potential website-development services.
This Privacy Policy does not replace or modify any separate Website Development Services Agreement or other written agreement executed between LaunchLayer and a client. A signed agreement governs the applicable development project, while this Privacy Policy describes our handling of personal information.
By accessing or using the Site or voluntarily submitting information to us, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Where consent is required by applicable law, we will request consent separately.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not submit personal information through the Site and discontinue use of the Site.
2Scope and Intended Audience
The Site is intended for general business information and inquiries from adults located in the United States. It is not directed to children, consumers seeking regulated professional services, or individuals seeking to provide sensitive personal information.
Visiting the Site, submitting a form, or communicating with LaunchLayer does not create a client relationship, order services, reserve development time, or modify an agreement. Website-development services begin only after the required written agreement has been signed and the required payment has cleared.
This Privacy Policy does not govern the independent privacy practices of third-party websites, banks, payment services, hosting providers, or other services that we do not own or control.
3Information We May Collect
Depending on how you interact with the Site, we may collect the following categories of information.
3.1Information You Provide
We may collect information that you voluntarily provide, including:
- your name;
- business or organization name;
- email address;
- telephone number;
- job title or business role;
- website address;
- project requirements, preferences, requested content, or other inquiry details;
- messages, attachments, images, text, logos, business information, or other materials you send;
- communications and correspondence with LaunchLayer;
- feedback, questions, or support-related communications;
- information contained in a signed agreement or project record; and
- any other information you choose to submit.
You are not required to provide personal information merely to browse publicly available portions of the Site. However, we may be unable to respond to an inquiry or evaluate a proposed project without certain contact and project information.
3.2Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting, security, or technical service providers may automatically collect limited technical information, such as:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser type and version;
- device type and operating system;
- referring and exit pages;
- pages or resources requested;
- approximate geographic area derived from an IP address;
- access dates and times;
- diagnostic, performance, security, and error information; and
- information necessary to detect abuse, fraud, automated traffic, or unauthorized activity.
This information may be collected through ordinary server logs, cookies, local storage, or similar technologies required to operate and protect the Site.
3.3Project and Transaction Records
If you become a client, we may retain:
- your signed agreement;
- project scope and instructions;
- communications and approvals;
- source-code delivery records;
- invoice or payment amount;
- payment date;
- payment confirmation or transaction reference;
- billing or business contact information; and
- records reasonably necessary for accounting, tax, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes.
Payments may be transmitted through Zelle, a participating financial institution, or another separately agreed payment provider. LaunchLayer does not request that you provide online-banking passwords, complete bank-account credentials, debit-card PINs, or payment-card security codes through the Site.
A bank, Zelle, or another payment provider processes payment information under its own terms and privacy practices. LaunchLayer does not control those independent practices.
3.4Information Concerning Other People
If you provide personal information concerning another person, including an employee, customer, contractor, or business contact, you represent that you have the authority and any permission required to provide that information for the applicable purpose.
Do not provide another person’s sensitive, confidential, or regulated information without lawful authorization.
3.5Information We Do Not Request
Do not submit through the Site or ordinary email:
- Social Security numbers;
- government identification numbers;
- complete banking credentials;
- payment-card numbers or security codes;
- passwords or private authentication credentials;
- protected health information or medical records;
- biometric information;
- precise geolocation information;
- information concerning children;
- confidential legal, financial, or employment records;
- trade secrets that have not been appropriately protected; or
- any other highly sensitive or regulated information.
LaunchLayer’s services are limited to front-end website development and source-code delivery. LaunchLayer does not require sensitive personal information to evaluate or perform the ordinary services described on the Site.
If you send unnecessary sensitive information despite this notice, you do so contrary to our instructions. We may delete, return, restrict, or decline to process the submission where reasonably practicable, subject to applicable law.
4Sources of Information
We may receive information:
- directly from you;
- from a person acting on behalf of your business;
- automatically from your browser or device;
- from hosting, security, email, payment, or technical providers;
- from communications and project records;
- from referrals or introductions; and
- from publicly available business sources when reasonably necessary to respond to an inquiry or evaluate a proposed business relationship.
5How We Use Information
We may use information for legitimate business purposes, including to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
- display and deliver Site content;
- receive, evaluate, and respond to inquiries;
- communicate about potential or existing projects;
- determine whether to accept a proposed project;
- prepare agreements, project records, or invoices;
- provide and administer agreed website-development services;
- create, test, troubleshoot, and deliver source-code files;
- maintain transaction, delivery, and business records;
- process or confirm payments;
- prevent fraud, spam, malware, abuse, and unauthorized activity;
- diagnose errors or technical problems;
- protect the rights, safety, property, and security of LaunchLayer, clients, visitors, and others;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
- enforce applicable agreements and Site terms;
- comply with laws, legal process, tax obligations, and governmental requests;
- investigate suspected unlawful conduct; and
- perform other purposes disclosed when information is collected or authorized by you.
We will not use personal information for a materially different purpose where additional notice or consent is required by applicable law without first providing that notice or obtaining that consent.
6Development, Productivity, and AI-Assisted Tools
LaunchLayer may use development, design, testing, productivity, communications, cloud-computing, and artificial-intelligence-assisted tools when operating the business or performing an agreed project.
These tools may assist with activities such as:
- drafting or reviewing code;
- generating development suggestions;
- debugging;
- organizing project requirements;
- reviewing written content;
- creating design concepts;
- detecting technical errors; and
- administering business communications or records.
Information processed through these tools may be handled by the applicable provider as a service provider, contractor, or independent third party, depending on the provider and circumstances.
You should not provide passwords, bank credentials, government identifiers, protected health information, confidential personal records, or other sensitive information for inclusion in website content or project instructions. You are responsible for removing or appropriately protecting information that is unnecessary for the project.
Our use of any tool does not change the scope, exclusions, warranties, or responsibility allocations contained in a signed Website Development Services Agreement.
7How We May Disclose Information
We may disclose information in the following circumstances.
7.1Service Providers
We may provide information to service providers that assist with:
- website hosting and content delivery;
- domain-name services;
- security, abuse prevention, and logging;
- email and business communications;
- contact-form processing;
- cloud storage and file transfer;
- software development, testing, and debugging;
- productivity and AI-assisted functionality;
- payment confirmation and banking services;
- accounting, tax, insurance, or professional advice; and
- other functions reasonably necessary to operate LaunchLayer or perform an agreed project.
These providers may process information subject to their own terms, contractual obligations, and applicable law.
7.2Legal and Protective Disclosures
We may preserve or disclose information when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary or appropriate to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or legal process;
- respond to a lawful government request;
- investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or illegal conduct;
- protect the rights, property, or safety of LaunchLayer, a client, a visitor, or another person;
- enforce an agreement or protect legal rights; or
- establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.
Where legally permitted and reasonably practicable, we may object to requests that we reasonably believe are unlawful or excessive. We do not promise that we will be able to notify affected individuals before making a legally required disclosure.
7.3Business Reorganization or Transfer
If the LaunchLayer business or its assets are reorganized, transferred, sold, assigned, merged, or otherwise involved in a business transaction, information may be disclosed to advisers, counterparties, or a successor as part of evaluating or completing that transaction, subject to applicable law.
7.4With Your Direction or Consent
We may disclose information when you direct us to do so, authorize the disclosure, or intentionally request an interaction involving a third party.
8Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising
LaunchLayer does not sell personal information for money.
LaunchLayer does not presently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use personal information to target advertisements based on activity across unrelated websites or services.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 18 years of age.
If our practices materially change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any choices, notices, or opt-out mechanisms required by applicable law before engaging in the new practice.
A disclosure to a hosting provider, email provider, payment provider, professional adviser, development tool, or other provider performing a business function for us is not intended as a sale of personal information. Applicable privacy laws may nevertheless classify technologies differently, and we will provide legally required choices where applicable.
9Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site and its technical providers may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies that are reasonably necessary to:
- deliver requested Site functionality;
- maintain security;
- distribute network traffic;
- remember technical preferences;
- prevent fraud or abuse;
- diagnose errors; or
- produce basic operational measurements.
LaunchLayer does not presently use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, or cross-site behavioral advertising technologies.
Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary technologies may affect Site functionality. Because browser controls and technologies vary, we cannot guarantee that every feature will work if such technologies are disabled.
If LaunchLayer later introduces nonessential analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies, we will update this Privacy Policy and implement any consent or preference mechanism required by applicable law before using those technologies where required.
10Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is not a single universally accepted technical or legal standard governing all Do Not Track signals, the Site does not presently respond to conventional Do Not Track browser signals.
Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will process the signal as required for the browser or device from which it is sent.
Because LaunchLayer does not presently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, an advertising-related opt-out signal may not change our current processing.
Third-party hosting, security, payment, or communications providers may collect technical information when providing their services. Their handling of signals and information is governed by their respective policies and applicable law.
11Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:
- respond to inquiries;
- determine whether a business relationship will proceed;
- perform an agreement;
- confirm delivery and payment;
- maintain business, accounting, and tax records;
- comply with legal obligations;
- resolve disputes;
- enforce agreements; and
- protect against fraud, abuse, and legal claims.
Retention periods depend on factors including the type and sensitivity of the information, the purpose for which it was collected, whether a project proceeded, applicable limitation periods, tax and accounting requirements, security needs, contractual requirements, and legal obligations.
We may retain information longer when reasonably necessary to preserve evidence, respond to a dispute, comply with a legal hold, prevent abuse, or meet an applicable legal requirement.
When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete, destroy, de-identify, or aggregate it, subject to technical limitations and applicable law. Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups or security records until overwritten or deleted through ordinary retention processes.
12Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information we process and the size and nature of the business.
However, no website, device, email system, Internet transmission, hosting platform, file-transfer method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, uninterrupted, or immune from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, malware, human error, or technical failure.
Accordingly:
- you should use reasonable care when deciding what information to transmit;
- you should not send information that we expressly state we do not require;
- you are responsible for maintaining the security of your own devices, accounts, email, passwords, and network connections; and
- you should contact us promptly if you believe information sent to us has been compromised.
LaunchLayer does not warrant or guarantee absolute security. Nothing in this section excludes a duty or responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a security incident triggers a legal notification obligation, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.
13Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You may:
- choose not to submit an inquiry;
- limit the information included in an inquiry;
- request that we stop sending nonessential communications;
- configure your browser to restrict cookies;
- request correction of inaccurate contact information; or
- contact us with a privacy question or request.
Depending on your place of residence and whether the applicable law covers LaunchLayer or the relevant processing, you may have rights to:
- confirm whether we process your personal information;
- access certain personal information;
- correct inaccuracies;
- request deletion;
- obtain a portable copy of certain information;
- opt out of a sale of personal information;
- opt out of targeted advertising;
- opt out of certain legally defined profiling;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- restrict or object to certain processing; and
- appeal the denial of a privacy request.
These rights are not absolute. Applicable law may permit or require us to retain or continue processing information for purposes such as completing a transaction, maintaining tax records, detecting security incidents, preventing fraud, exercising legal rights, complying with law, or establishing and defending legal claims.
13.1Submitting a Request
To submit a privacy request, email archith.raman18@gmail.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.”
Please provide:
- your name;
- the email address associated with your interaction;
- your state or country of residence;
- the right you are requesting to exercise; and
- enough information to allow us to locate the relevant records.
Do not send government identification unless we specifically determine that it is reasonably necessary and provide an appropriate method for doing so.
We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. We may be unable to fulfill a request if we cannot reasonably verify it or locate the relevant information.
13.2Authorized Agents
Where applicable law permits use of an authorized agent, we may request proof of the agent’s authority and may require direct verification from the individual unless applicable law provides otherwise.
13.3Appeals
Where applicable law provides a right to appeal, you may appeal a denial by replying to our decision or emailing archith.raman18@gmail.com with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” Include the request involved and the reason you believe the decision should be reconsidered.
13.4Nondiscrimination
Where prohibited by applicable law, we will not unlawfully discriminate against an individual for exercising an applicable privacy right.
14California Privacy Information
California’s “Shine the Light” law may permit California residents to request information concerning certain disclosures of personal information to third parties for those third parties’ own direct-marketing purposes.
LaunchLayer does not presently disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.
LaunchLayer also does not presently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Not every California privacy law applies to every business. If an applicable California law grants you a particular right regarding our processing, you may submit a request using the procedure in Section 13.
15New Jersey Privacy Information
New Jersey law may provide New Jersey consumers with rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, targeted advertising, sale of personal information, and certain profiling when the law applies to the applicable business and processing.
Because statutory applicability depends on factors including the nature and volume of processing, not every New Jersey privacy-law provision applies to every small business or interaction.
Where an applicable New Jersey law grants you a right concerning our processing, you may submit a request or appeal using the procedure in Section 13.
16Children’s Privacy
The Site and LaunchLayer’s services are intended for adults and business representatives. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request or collect personal information online from children under 13.
If you are under 13, do not use the Site to provide personal information.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in circumstances governed by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act or another applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to delete or otherwise handle the information as required by law.
A parent or legal guardian who believes that a child has submitted personal information may contact us at archith.raman18@gmail.com.
17Third-Party Websites and Services
The Site may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites or services. LaunchLayer does not own or control those third parties and is not responsible for their independent privacy, security, content, availability, or legal practices.
A link does not constitute an endorsement or warranty. Before providing information to a third party, review that third party’s terms and privacy policy.
This section does not limit any responsibility that applicable law does not permit us to limit.
18United States Operations
LaunchLayer is operated from New Jersey, United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States and in other locations where our service providers operate.
The Site is directed primarily to persons and businesses in the United States. We do not represent that the Site is designed to solicit or provide services in every country.
If you access the Site from another jurisdiction, you are responsible for determining whether your use is permitted under local law. Where applicable law imposes obligations on LaunchLayer notwithstanding this section, we will comply with those obligations.
19Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Site, our practices, service providers, technology, or applicable law.
The “Last Updated” date at the top identifies the most recent revision. The revised policy will become effective when posted unless another effective date is stated.
Where applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, we will provide that notice or request that consent. We will not use a policy amendment to retroactively authorize materially different processing where doing so would violate applicable law.
You should review this Privacy Policy periodically.
20No Additional Contractual Rights
This Privacy Policy describes our information practices. It is not intended to create rights, remedies, warranties, fiduciary duties, or obligations beyond those required by applicable law or expressly assumed in a separate signed agreement.
Any disclaimers, warranty exclusions, dispute procedures, or limitations of liability governing use of the Site are addressed in the LaunchLayer Terms of Use. Project-specific rights and obligations are addressed in the applicable signed Website Development Services Agreement.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy waives or limits a right or responsibility that applicable law does not permit to be waived or limited.
